Overview
Sermon Design 3 is built around your privacy. The app does not run analytics, does not track you, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not have a backend server that stores your sermon content. Your manuscripts and notes stay on your devices and (optionally) in your private iCloud.
What we do not collect
- No personal information sent to us — we have no servers that receive your name, email, or sermon content.
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
- No advertising identifiers, no IDFA, no ad networks.
Where your data lives
- On-device storage. Sermon documents (
.sermonfiles) are stored wherever you save them on your device, just like any other document. - iCloud (optional). If you sign into iCloud, your preaching plans, custom movements, custom sermon forms, settings, and Pro-entitlement state sync via CloudKit and iCloud Key-Value Store. This data lives in your private iCloud container and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive it.
Optional third-party integrations
The following features connect to third-party services only when you explicitly use them. Each one is optional and can be ignored.
- Sign In with Apple. If you choose to sign in, Apple provides an opaque user identifier and (optionally) name/email. We store this only on-device in the Keychain so the app can remember you. Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google Docs / Google Slides export. If you choose to export a sermon to Google Docs or Slides, the app authenticates you with Google via OAuth and uploads the document content directly from your device to your Google account. We never see this traffic. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- In-App Purchases. Purchases of Sermon Design Pro are processed by Apple. We receive Apple’s standard receipt; we do not receive your payment details.
Children’s privacy
Sermon Design 3 is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Major changes will be called out in the app’s release notes.
