- Youth Ministry does not have a server. We do not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell, or share your data.
- All data you enter is stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced privately through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit to your other Apple devices.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising SDKs, or third-party data collection of any kind.
- We do not have access to your data. Your data is yours.
- DATA THE APP STORES
When you use Youth Ministry, the app stores information you enter, including but not limited to:
- Events, event details, schedules, costs, housing, food, transportation, volunteer lists, packing lists, ministry partners, and other planning information.
- People in your roster, including names, contact information, grade, graduation year, school, demographic fields you choose to record, engagement level, and notes.
- Attendance records and contact logs.
- Budget information, including annual budgets, line items, and cost breakdowns.
- Prayer requests, prayer updates, and any links you make between prayer requests and people in your roster.
- Ministry settings and any custom event types you create.
All of this information is stored locally on your device in an Apple-provided database (SwiftData).
- iCLOUD SYNC
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device and iCloud is enabled for Youth Ministry, the app uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync your data privately across your Apple devices that are signed in to the same iCloud account.
- Your data is transmitted directly between your devices and Apple’s servers, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- This sync happens under your Apple ID and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and iCloud terms.
- We (the developer) have no access to this data. We cannot see, download, or recover it.
- You can disable iCloud sync for Youth Ministry at any time in your device’s Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.
For more information about how Apple handles iCloud data, see Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
Youth Ministry does not:
- Collect analytics or usage data.
- Include any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- Transmit your data to any server controlled by the developer.
- Share, sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone.
- Access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location unless you explicitly use a feature that requires it, in which case the data stays on your device.
- Require an account or login of its own. There is no developer-run account system.
- CHILDREN’S AND MINORS’ DATA
Youth Ministry is designed for adult youth ministers to manage information about the young people in their ministry. The app is not intended to be used directly by children. The minister (you, the user) is responsible for:
- Obtaining appropriate permissions from parents, guardians, and your church or ministry organization before entering information about minors.
- Complying with any applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding the handling of information about minors, including but not limited to COPPA (United States), GDPR (European Union), and similar regulations.
- Following your ministry, denomination, or employer’s data handling and safeguarding policies.
Because the developer never receives or stores this data, you remain the sole controller of it.
- YOUR CONTROL OVER YOUR DATA
You are in full control of the data stored in Youth Ministry:
- You can view, edit, or delete any record inside the app at any time.
- You can export your data using the built-in data export feature (CSV for rosters, events, attendance, and budgets; PDF for schedules).
- You can delete all data by deleting the app from your device, or by signing out of iCloud and removing the app’s iCloud data from Settings.
- SECURITY
Because all your data stays on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud account), its security depends on:
- The device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID you use to unlock your device.
- The security of your Apple ID and iCloud account.
We strongly recommend using a strong device passcode, enabling biometric authentication, and using two-factor authentication on your Apple ID.
- THIRD PARTIES
Youth Ministry does not integrate with any third-party services for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data storage, other than Apple’s own iCloud/CloudKit service described above.
If the app in the future opens external links (for example, to an Apple Maps address, a web page, or an email client), those destinations are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
- CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be included with the app and posted at the same location you found this document. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app’s update notes.
